Commission a portrait painting by Tucson Arizona’s award winning artist Carolyn Robles, specializing in symbolic, traditional, family, business and animal fine art portraiture.
Step 1
We’ll discuss your thoughts and ideas regarding size and medium and what the vision is for the drawing or painting. To begin work, I will send a contract and 1/2 down will be required before we proceed. Prices start at $750 for a simple drawing and $1500 for a simple painting and range in price depending on medium, size and complexity up to 10,000+.
Step 2
I prefer to work from photographs that I personally take, and/ or from life, to ensure proper lighting and pose. Ideally we will discuss and schedule a photo-shoot. I will send questions to help you come up with personal items, color schemes and the clothing you’ll wear. In cases where photo-shoots are not possible, for posthumous subjects or when timing or location doesn’t permit, other high quality source material may be suitable.
Step 3
Creating the drawing or painting may take a couple of weeks to several months depending on medium, complexity and if there is a queue of commissions in the works at that time. I will send an image when I am getting close to completion to discuss any necessary edits. After the final touches have been made, I’ll send a final image of the completed artwork.
Step 4
The remaining balance will be due upon completion of the painting. Once completed, and ready to travel, your portrait will be delivered! If applicable, shipping and or framing will be provided with additional fees.
